Amalia Sotiropoulou

Amalia Sotiropoulou was born in Athens. She lives and works between Athens and New York. She started her photography as an amateur since her teenage years and attended photography courses in 1991 at the PHOTOGRAPHY CIRCLE OF ATHENS, of which she remains a member. Amalia has presented her work in many individual and group exhibitions in Athens, Thessaloniki and Boston. In 1998, her first photo album was published by Photochoros publications, Mikri Seira, entitled "METAMFIESIS". Her engagement with photography, beyond personal pleasure, gives her the sense of a challenge, through the participation of others in a personal, her own experience, which became a photographic work.
