Elias Kafouros

Elias Kafouros (b. 1978) is a visual artist based in Athens. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts and later pursued animation at the School of Visual Arts in New York. His work is known for its intricate, highly saturated compositions influenced by cinema, Renaissance painting, digital culture, and Buddhist mandalas. He has exhibited widely in Greece and abroad, and has been commissioned by Hèrmes to create a series of designs for the legendary Hèrmes silk scarves.
